Who We Are

ChristPoint Community Church

This site is a work in progress check back often.       Administrative staff and ministry updates still to come

Our Mission

ChristPoint Community Church recognizes the need for and the implementation of a plan of action to connect the body of Christ to community and in expanding it's influence by the preaching and the teaching of the gospel resulting in life transformation.

Oh, how easy it is to become misdirected.  With our cell phones and iPads, our 24-hour news cycles, there’s virtually nowhere to go for a moment of peace and quiet.

That’s where ChristPoint comes in. We come together to provide a place of rest in this hectic life. So come, put aside the cares of the week and join with others with common purpose to worship our creator and Lord.

In unity we believe we can change the face of our community and be a source of light in a dark world.

Many faces, one faith.

We are a diverse group of believers – bankers, musicians, social workers,

teachers, public servants, business owners, parents  – united by our shared faith

in a loving God.  Our hope is to represent the entire demographics of our

We have a minimalist mindset.

This means we focus less upon material wealth of our church, a heavy administrative staff, and over hyped programming.  We understand that worship is for God and our personal comfort, feelings, programs, and desires are much less important than bringing him glory.

We desire to grow as a congregation through love, relationships, unity, personal sacrifice, and service through the compelling nature of the Holy Spirit and Truth.

What does this mean to you?

  • Worship and Music:  Don't expect over hyped song services with screaming guitars and personal solo's (bringing attention to oneself), or fog machines, and fancy lights.  We believe worship is for God and is not meant to be used to entice people to a feeling or hypnotic state.  We have a blended service of contemporary and traditional songs meant to worship the Lord and glorify Him.
  • Building and Facilities: Our current meeting location is 112 N. Anniston Ave, downtown Sylacauga.  We have converted a historic 1940's office complex into a working ministry facility complete with a small multi-use Sanctuary, nursery, coffee room, commercial kitchen, and youth class.  With four more offices serving to the ministry of the church.
  • When You Come: Expect to be greeted with excitement and love at the door.  If you have never visited our church before someone from our hospitality team will invite you for coffee and show you around our facility.  Nursery provisions are available to children 4 and under.  Children from 5 through 5th grade will be invited just before Pastor Bryan begins his message, to go back to children's church.  There, they will have activities for every age level and a teaching moment for each, much like the early church did.  The older kids will help with the younger, with each being motivated through a teaching lesson for the morning.
  • What does God have to offer you and your family through ChristPoint Community Church (CPCC) ?:   Our desire is to help you to seek after what you have to offer God through our church.  We believe far too often people join a faith family for what it has to offer them in terms of programming, activities, and various niceties.  We understand sacrificial worship is part of our communal effort to glorify God.  The greatest blessing you will receive from CPCC is the freedom and liberty which comes by worshiping in Spirit and in Truth.   Pastor Bryan, will communicate a word of encouragement each week led by the Holy Spirit, by way of scripture and prayer.   His message will be on point , challenging, and convicting.  He has said, his goal in preaching is, "That all will clearly understand the gospel message, be challenged to grow in faith, and allow the Holy Spirit to lead them and guide them through their personal walk transforming into the likeness of Christ."   Each week Pastor Bryan brings a unique message which  is applicable to the world we live in.
